It’s All Done with Mirrors

This show explores how magicians use science and engineering in their magic tricks. A visually appealing show with unusual props, demonstrations and tricks that illustrates how real-world science and engineering is often invisible, hidden or taken for granted.

Audiences are naturally curious about the magic effects. They often wish and occasionally demand to know how the tricks are done. They are shown the science behind the magic,  encouraged to come up with their own hypothesis for testing with their own experiments.

An entertaining, educational science magic show inspiring curiosity for science and engineering.

“The science workshops are a real joy. This is the second year we have booked Dr Ken and each time has been a huge success! Dr Ken has a great repertoire so that he delivers something new each time to wet the appetites of budding scientists. Showing children how everyday things can be fun and explained through science. This year the magic through science workshops uncovered many KS2 themes. I cannot recommend this highly enough.”
